When an art teacher saw an opportunity to engage environmentally-minded students through hands-on learning, they secured a grant from the Eastern Rhode Island Conservation District to bring a rain garden to life. 

 

Thrive Outside partnered with the school to teach students about ecological stormwater design—and together, they built a rain garden in the heart of the school’s courtyard.
